Subarna Kumar THAPA, based in Paris received the JACQUES of best actor 2002 for his role in "la Surprise de l'amour" in France. Diploma of art dramatique of COURS FLORENT (2000-02), he took intensive workshops conducted by Ariane Mnouchkine - THEATRE DU SOLEIL (2002), LABYRINTHE (1998) and attended classes at the C.N.S.A.D (Conservatoire of Paris) in 1997-98. Professionally Subarna just finished the lead in the Japan Foundation's productions of Memories of a Legend (2004-05) in Tokyo, Kyoto and New Delhi. At the Comédie Français he did The Twelfth Night (2003 -04), at the Cours Florent he played in Wedekind's L'éveil du printemps (2002), Claudel's Soulier de satin (2002), Marivaux's Surprise de l'amour (2001-02) and Dostoïevski's Les Démons (2000 -01). At the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris- Subarna was in Peter Mussbach's production of Richard Strauss's Arabella (2002) and The Royal Nepal Academy he did Andho Yug of Dharmabir Bharati (1999) to date.
