Violetta Perra (live performer) is dancer / choreographer from Sardinia Italy. She is currently finishing her studies at School for New Dance Development Amsterdam (direction Gabriel Smeets) and her work both as a maker and performer is in many ways a collaborative processes among artists with different experiences and backgrounds. Violetta attempts to break boundaries between different disciplines. She seeks for new ways of presenting and representing in seeing the body as a subject versus an object and as an object versus a subject. In the last few years, Violaletta has performed in De Melkweg Theater - Amsterdam, Theatreschool - Amsterdam, and Spazio Ex Granaio in Assemini, Italy. She has further participated in extensive workshops: " ART OF PERCEPTION"– a triennial program of interdisciplinary training directed by Ornella D'Agostino, held in Bari, Bologna and then in Cagliari – Italy, ARF (artist reference frame) organized by the University of the Arts in Berlin as a full time laboratory with 20 artists, conceived / co-directed by Ibrahim Quraishi and Gabriel Smeets to finally be an artist in residence at the Barker Theater – Turku Finland as part of The International Collective Project.
