NORSCQ, (composition / interactive sound and live performer) is a Paris-based electronic musician/ composer who has been one of the key instigators of the French underground scene over the last 20 years. He founded the iconoclastic cult group The Grief in 1984, producing ten exceptional albums until 1992. A new compilation of The Grief's best pieces was released in November 2005. His most recent personal releases include Barbaresque, Wechma, Lavatronic, and Lavatron.X featuring 20 international artists including Jack Dangers (United States) JG Thirlwell (United States), Felix Kubin (Germany), Toshimaru Nakamura (Japan) and more remixing of his Lavatronic album. Norscq has also been the producer/sound engineer for many French bands including the electro-flamenco sounds of Von Magnet, the electro-acoustic experiments of the contemporary quartet Quattrophage, the contentious spoken word compositions by Black Sifichi, Negative Stencil and the melancholic electro pop of Colder. As a composer he has been commissioned for a wide range of projects including French radio Le Mouv' or Compagnie Faim de Siècle.
