Arthur Aviles
Arthur AVILES - dancer/choreographer & artistic director of B.A.A.D. ! (Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance and his dance troupe Arthur Aviles Typical Theatre), is one of the leading contemporary dancers in the United States who has been an artist in residence in Lyon, Maison des Arts in Cretail. He is the recipient of a Bessie Award in 1988. Arthur has been a member of the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company from 1987 through 1995 and has been working with Ibrahim Quraishi since 1996 with the initial collaboration on Syonara Diaorama, the first robotics opera.
